They applied for funds from ADF and drilled a borehole which ensured they get regular water supply for agricultural production using the drip irrigation system. They also got funds to train their farmers on good agricultural practices.

Natiira Irrigation has transformed the life of its members and the community at large. Members are independent in food production unlike initially when they relied on relief food and handouts due to unreliable rains. They have increased food security and income as they no longer rely on livestock only as before. They produce and sell fresh vegetables which are on high demand. From their harvest, 20% is consumed and the rest is sold to the community which no longer have to rely on vegetable supplies from far. From their sale of vegetables, members generate income to buy other food stuffs they do not produce, pay school fees for their children and meet their needs. The surrounding community also fetches water for their households use from the bore hole.
